Nigerian international striker, Victor Osimhen, delivered a stunning performance last night, netting a brace to propel Galatasaray into the Turkish Cup semifinals with a crucial victory over Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.

Osimhen wasted no time making an impact, opening the scoring in the 10th minute before doubling Galatasaray’s lead from the penalty spot in the 27th minute.

Despite the early setback, Fenerbahce, featuring Osimhen’s Super Eagles teammate, Bright Osayi-Samuel, pulled a goal back in first-half stoppage time, keeping their hopes alive.

As tensions escalated in the closing stages, Osimhen received a yellow card, while Galatasaray finished the match with 10 men after a late red card in stoppage time.

Meanwhile, in the Turkish Süper Lig, Fenerbahce remains six points behind their fierce Istanbul rivals, though they have a game in hand.

The highly anticipated Istanbul Cup Derby was further electrified by a heated altercation between Mourinho and Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk. In a dramatic moment, Mourinho grabbed Buruk’s nose during a touchline confrontation, adding yet another layer of intensity to an already fiery encounter.
