Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong received a warm welcome from a crowd of excited fans in Lagos on Friday evening during a ‘meet and greet’ session ahead of the second edition of his foundation’s charity football match, set to take place on Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

The event, held at the Puma store inside Palms Mall, Lekki, provided fans with a unique opportunity to engage with the Nigerian international in a relaxed and informal setting, just days before the much-anticipated #PlayForPurpose charity fixture.

Supporters of various ages turned out in large numbers, with many arriving early to secure autographs, take photos, and interact directly with the football star.

The meet and greet also served as a gesture of appreciation toward Puma, a major sponsor of the charity initiative.

Sunday’s match is expected to feature a lineup of prominent athletes and entertainers, including boxing champion Anthony Joshua, Super Eagles stars Victor Osimhen and Odion Ighalo, former internationals Vincent Enyeama and Obafemi Martins, as well as popular musicians Flavour, Falz, and OdumoduBlvck.
