Three suspected kidnappers killed as police rescue kidnapped victim in Oyo State

The Oyo State Police Command has neutralised three suspected kidnappers during an operation in Otu, Itesiwaju Local Government Area of the state.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the development in a statement on Tuesday.

According to him, the operation also led to the rescue of a kidnapped victim, identified as Mosudi Gbolagade, who was earlier abducted in Okaka town and held captive within the Otu axis.

The police said the operation was carried out in collaboration with local hunters who assisted in tracking down the suspects.

Ayanlade disclosed that the victim sustained gunshot injuries during the rescue mission and has since been evacuated to a medical facility for urgent treatment.

He also noted that one of the local hunters involved in the operation was injured during the exchange of gunfire and is currently receiving medical attention in hospital.
