Scores feared dead as suspected herdsmen launch fresh attack on Makurdi–Naka road

Several persons are feared dead and many others injured after suspected armed herdsmen launched a fresh attack on the Makurdi–Naka road.

This comes despite the recent relocation of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) to Benue State, a move intended to restore security in the region.

The attack caused panic among commuters, with reports of abductions still being confirmed.

Authorities have urged the public to avoid the Makurdi–Naka route until further notice, to check on loved ones who may have traveled the road today, and to remain vigilant by reporting any suspicious activities.
