Distinguished Senator Abba Moro, on Saturday, reaffirmed his resolve to build the dilapidated Odiapa bridge in Obi Local Government Area. The Senator gave the assurance when he received in audience his Coordinators from the twelve council wards that make up the local government in his Otukpo residence.

Earlier in his speech, a leader of the delegation and Coordinator for Obarike-Ito Ward, Hon. Prince Gabriel Okwute, said they were in the Senator’s house to congratulate him on his victory at the party primary and also thank him for his visible achievements across Benue South Senatorial District, Obi in particular.

Prince Okwute said they solidly stood with the Senator because, according to him, they believe in his leadership.

“We believe in your leadership as evident in the quality representation you are providing at the National Assembly, with the attendant infrastructural development we are seeing across the Senatorial District. We are here to thank you for not disappointing us. We will continue to support you and ready to give you 80% of our votes in 2023.”

In his response, Senator Moro thanked his guests for coming to thank and identify with him.

“I’m grateful that you are here. Thank you for coming to thank me. You elected me to represent you so I owe you everything, including working for you and providing the needed leadership and representation. I’m the one to thank you for trusting me with your mandate. I promise never to betray that trust.”

On the dilapidated Odiapa bridge that has claimed many lives, Senator Moro assured the delegation of his resolve to build the bridge.

“By this time next year, the Odiapa bridge would have been completed. I must do it, by the grace of God”, he said.
