Former Deputy of Benue State, Stephen Lawani, has been appointed as the Benue state Coordinator of Tinubu-Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council (ICC).

With the appointment, Lawani, who controversially lost the APC governorship ticket to Rev Fr Hythicnt Alia, is expected to ensure the victory of Tinubu in the state.

Lawani’s appointment was confirmed by his media aide, Sylvanus Okpe.

He said, “I have no doubt that the Ochagwu K’Idoma, a forthright, visionary and great political tactician will discharge this onerous task with a deep sense of responsibility, patriotism, dedication, undivided commitment and equanimity. Since working with this extraordinary leader, I have found him to be the best manager of time. The Ochagwu K’Idoma is the only man I have seen that achieves alot with a little time.

“An ardent time-keeper and a refined gentleman with a Midas touch. An organized and celebrated technocrat with an untainted integrity. With his background of excellence service delivery record in all assigned roles, the reasons for his being found worthy by the Tinubu-Shettima Independent Campaign Council (ICC) for this lofty appointment, alongside an array of tested political tacticians in the cloth of a former Ogun state governor, H.E Olugbenga Daniels, who is the Ogun state coordinator, and other very prominent politicians that made the list, is therefore not farfetched. It is enthusing to reaffirm that I personally will continue to worship this rare gem while learning at his feet. We will work dedicatedly with him in ensuring that his fantastic blueprint on how to work with other relevant stakeholders in delivering this very important mandate is actualised.”
