Ryan Gravenberch, the midfielder for Bayern Munich, has shown a preference for a move to Liverpool over Manchester United, as discussions initiated by Jurgen Klopp’s team with the Bundesliga champions gain momentum.

Gravenberch is strongly inclined towards departing from Bayern Munich prior to the approaching transfer deadline on Friday.

The Dutch international have encountered challenges in securing consistent playing time under the management of Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich.

Having joined Bayern from Ajax just last year for a fee of €18.5 million (£16m), the 21-year-old midfielder seeks a change in scenery.

Both Liverpool and Manchester United have engaged in talks with Gravenberch’s representatives during this summer transfer window. However, neither of the Premier League clubs has yet submitted a formal offer to Bayern Munich.

Yet, recent reports from The Athletic indicate that Liverpool have embarked on negotiations with Bayern Munich regarding the acquisition of Gravenberch, and the two clubs are presently deliberating on the terms of a potential transfer fee for the player.

The report goes on to reveal that Liverpool is actively pursuing a permanent deal, and Bayern Munich has expressed a willingness to part ways with Gravenberch, provided they can secure a replacement player.
