Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State revealed on Monday that he endured 16 sleepless nights following the abduction of 137 schoolchildren from the Kuriga area of the state.

Expressing his commitment to safeguarding lives across the state, Governor Sani stated, “The reason why we are here is the protection of lives and properties, Kaduna state government will continue to prioritize security.”

He emphasized the government’s dedication to working closely with relevant security agencies to ensure the safety of all local governments in Kaduna State.

Furthermore, he advised the media against delving into the details of how the students were freed from captivity.

The abduction occurred on March 7, 2024, when bandits took 137 schoolchildren from the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
