Ex-Convict arrested by Amotekun for attempted kidnap in Osun

A 25-year-old man, Mumini Oseni, has been arrested by the operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps for an alleged attempted kidnapping in Osogbo. The arrest took place on Saturday as Oseni attempted to abduct a young girl near Obanisola Street, Powerline area.

According to reports, the suspect tried to lure the young girl with a N50 note, but she quickly raised an alarm, alerting her mother and drawing attention to the situation.

Confirming the arrest, the Corps Commander of Amotekun in Osun, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi, stated that the suspect tried to flee the scene but was caught by the swift action of the operatives.

During interrogation, Oseni confessed to the attempted kidnapping and disclosed that he was an ex-convict previously jailed for armed robbery. He has since been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
