Manchester City defender, Aymeric Laporte is on the verge of finalizing a three-year contract with Al-Nassr, following an agreement between the Saudi club and Manchester City for a transfer fee of £25 million.

Laporte has accepted a generous annual salary of £20 million as he prepares to join forces with Cristiano Ronaldo at the Saudi Pro League team.

Laporte originally joined Manchester City back in 2018, but his time on the field has recently been curtailed, notably after Pep Guardiola’s acquisition of Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund.

In the previous season, Laporte’s appearances in the Premier League were limited to just 12 fixtures, reflecting a decline in his role under the Spanish manager.

The situation worsened for Laporte this season, as he fell further down the hierarchy at Manchester City with the arrival of Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig.
