Abounu, Ngbede, Abba Morro, Egli Ahubi, George Alli, others eulogise late Hon. Chief Omaba Ogbo (Photos)

The burial ceremony of Former deputy speaker of the Benue state House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Joseph Omaba Ogbo in Ajobe Village, Otukpo LGA on Saturday December 1st, 2018 was intensify by appearance from the deputy governor of the state, Engr. Benson Abounu, Benue People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairman, Sir. John Ngbede, former interior Minister and PDP senatorial candidate for Benue South senatorial district, Comr. Abba Morro, Benue deputy speaker and Otukpo/Ohimini House of Representatives hopeful in 2019, Hon. Egli Johnson Ahubi.

Engr. Abounu in his condolence message said Chief Omaba Ogbo was a lover and maker of peace who has given him advise that has changed his life when he (Abounu) was contesting for Benue governoship position in 1991.

The Benue number two man further said he “pray that the almighty God accept Hon. Omaba’s soul and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss”.

Sir. John Ngbede on his path, expressed sympathy with the deceased family saying that “the late lawmaker was a good and down to earth man who as a member of the PDP was known for good deeds” as he urged everyone present at the burial to emulate Hon. Ogbo life style”.

Comr. Abba Morro on the other hand, reiterated that “Hon. Ogbo who was a close friend of his father was only known positive things at all times adding that it’s the only reason why such a multitude are gathered here to condole with his family”.

Benue incumbent deputy speaker, Hon. Egli Ahubi specifically laid emphasis on the moral support he received from the late veteran lawmaker when he was contesting for Benue Assembly seat to represent Otukpo/Akpa constituency in 2014.

In his words: “Late Chief Omaba Ogbo told me when I took by Assembly nomination forms to him that he was happy to see a young man like me contesting. He signed my forms for me with great joy and gave me his blessings. Today, I’m oppurtuned to be on his former position. He is indeed a great man that will be missed and I pray that God gives us all the great to bear this irreparable loss”. He added.

Other speakers includes, the executive chairman of Otukpo local government, Chief George Alli, one time Benue deputy speaker Chief Dan Aleh, Mrs Ene Alegwu amongst other dignitaries all praised late the late Honourable member for his distinguished life style.
