Johnny Wactor, ‘General Hospital’ star shot dead in suspected LA robbery

Johnny Wactor, best known for his role on General Hospital, has died after being fatally shot during a suspected robbery in Los Angeles.
The 37-year-old actor appeared in 164 episodes of the soap opera from 2020 to 2022.
General Hospital released a statement on Sunday: “The entire General Hospital family is heartbroken to hear of Johnny Wactor’s untimely passing. He was truly one of a kind and a pleasure to work with each and every day. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones during this difficult time.”
According to the Daily Mail, Wactor was leaving his part-time job at a rooftop bar with a female colleague around 3:25 a.m. on Saturday near West Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street. He encountered three masked men, mistakenly believing his vehicle was being towed.
Police reported that one of the men shot Wactor before they fled in a separate vehicle.
Paramedics arrived on the scene around 3:30 a.m. and transported Johnny to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Born in 1986 in Charleston, South Carolina, Wactor began his television career with a role in the Lifetime drama series Army Wives. He later made guest appearances on various shows, including Westworld, The OA, and Criminal Minds.
