US arrests over 100 undocumented migrants in Colorado nightclub raid

US authorities announced Sunday that they had arrested more than 100 undocumented migrants during a raid on an underground nightclub in Colorado, marking the latest action in President Donald Trump’s ongoing immigration crackdown.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) confirmed that over 100 “illegal aliens” were apprehended at a Colorado Springs nightclub, known to be frequented by members of the Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gangs, which Trump has designated as terrorist organizations. Attorney General Pam Bondi made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter).

Trump’s tough stance on immigration has seen him send troops to the Mexican border, designate South American gangs as terrorist groups, and call for mass expulsions of undocumented migrants. His administration has faced significant opposition from federal judges, rights groups, and Democrats, who argue that his actions violate constitutional rights by expediting deportations without due process.

In footage posted by the DEA on X, armed agents can be seen breaking a window and shouting at clubgoers to raise their hands as they flee the building into a parking lot. The agency confirmed that “more than 100 illegal aliens” were detained during the operation, and that drugs and weapons were also seized.

DEA Special Agent Jonathan Pullen reported that the raid uncovered multiple US military members at the club, either as patrons or acting as armed security.

Trump praised the operation on his Truth Social platform, calling it a success in targeting “some of the worst people illegally in our country  drug dealers, murderers, and other violent criminals, of all shapes and sizes.” He also criticized judges who have blocked deportations, accusing them of turning the United States into a “crime-ridden mess.”

Meanwhile, rights groups have raised concerns about deportations involving American children, including the recent expulsion of three children, one of whom is battling a rare form of cancer  alongside their undocumented mothers.

One of the most high-profile deportations involved Maryland resident Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was sent back to El Salvador despite holding protected legal status. The Trump administration admitted the deportation was due to an “administrative error,” and the Supreme Court ruled that the government must facilitate his return to the US. However, Trump has continued to assert that Abrego Garcia is a gang member.
