CP Dantawaye Miller has assumed duty as the 34th Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.

He took over from CP Ajao S. Adewale, who has been redeployed to another strategic assignment by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

Miller, who was until now the Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, officially resumed duties on Friday, October 17, 2025.

The new FCT police boss has served in various capacities within the Nigeria Police Force, including Assistant Commissioner of Police (Operations) in the FCT, Deputy Commissioner of Police in Yobe and Edo States, and Commissioner of Police, Information Technology (IT), at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

A statement by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said Miller brings over two decades of policing experience and has pledged to build on existing security frameworks while strengthening community-police collaboration to ensure the safety of residents across the capital territory.

The Command urged residents to continue cooperating with the police in the collective effort to maintain peace and security in the FCT.
