Gospel singer Gaise Baba tops Davido, Shallipopi on Nigeria’s 2025 YouTube chart (Full List)

YouTube has unveiled its official 2025 Nigeria Year-in-Review, spotlighting the music videos, digital creators, and entertainment content that dominated viewing trends among Nigerian audiences over the past year.

According to the rankings, gospel star Akinade “Gaise Baba” Ibuoye and popular Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli emerged as the most outstanding music and content creators of 2025.

The recognition was disclosed in a statement issued by YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, Addy Awofisayo.

Gaise Baba claimed the top spot in the music category with his hit single “No Turning Back II,” featuring Lawrence Oyor, which finished as Nigeria’s most-watched YouTube music video of 2025.

Released on May 16, the video went viral nationwide and crossed 41 million views within six months, cementing its position as the year’s biggest gospel crossover success.
