Okoriko, APC stakeholders push for inclusiveness in Okpokwu ahead of 2027 elections
Leading House of Representatives aspirant for Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, Okoriko Abah, on Saturday, joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) Okpokwu Local Government Stakeholders’ Meeting to advance party unity, inclusiveness, and strategic planning ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, convened by the APC Reconciliation Committee led by Hon. Wombo Solomon, brought together party leaders, elders, and supporters from all 12 wards of Okpokwu Local Government Area.
Discussions focused on reconciling differences, fostering inclusiveness at the ward and local government levels, and aligning party stakeholders for the upcoming congresses and elections.
In attendance were key government and party figures, including Hon. Adah Inalegwu Matthew, Executive Chairman of Okpokwu LGA; Hon. Mrs. Theresa Odachi Ikwue, Commissioner for Women Affairs; Hon. Linda Ene Dirsu Ochigbo, State Coordinator, Benue Sexual Assault Referral; and Hon. Linus Ejilogo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Relations.
Addressing newsmen shortly after at the meeting, Okoriko Abah emphasised the importance of collective effort and open dialogue to strengthen the APC’s prospects in the constituency. He said:
“We must ensure that every stakeholder, from the ward level to the local government, feels included in our processes. Unity and cooperation are critical if we are to succeed in the 2027 elections.”
Okoriko also reminded attendees of the value of party loyalty and collaboration:
“Our success depends on inclusiveness, mutual respect, and the willingness to reconcile differences. Every voice counts, and together we can ensure APC remains strong in Okpokwu.”
The APC stakeholders reaffirmed commitment to party cohesion, with leaders and supporters pledging to work together to ensure the APC is well-prepared for upcoming electoral contests in Benue State.
