I bid not attend Ibadan PDP Convention, did not betray anyone – Abba Moro tackles Ottah

Senator Abba Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, has clarified that he did not attend the November 15–16, 2025 PDP convention in Ibadan, contrary to claims by Hon. Francis Ottah Agbo.

In a statement personally signed by his media aide, Emmanuel Eche’Ofun John, Moro said:
“As a lawmaker, Senator Moro was aware of a subsisting court order that halted the convention and appropriately advised against going on with the convention.

Consequently, Senator Moro and Benue State delegates DID NOT ATTEND THE IBADAN CONVENTION. This is for the knowledge of Agbo Francis Ottah and other lackeys of Governor Alia who are gleefully latching on an inaccurate account of the convention to mischaracterize Senator Moro.”

He added a warning to the public: “Benue people and, indeed, Nigerians should take note and ignore the rantings and loquaciousness of people like Ottah who are masquerading as aspirants to leadership positions for which they are engaging in blackmail and mischiefs.”
