Benue APC primaries result: Livinus Tsar wins Jechira House of Reps ticket

Engr. Dr. Livinus Adzer Tsar has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives primary election for the Jechira Federal Constituency comprising Vandeikya and Konshisha Local Government Areas of Benue State.

The result, contained in the APC Federal Constituency Primary Election 2026 Local Government Result Collation Form dated May 16, 2026, showed that Tsar secured a landslide victory over other aspirants in the keenly contested exercise.

According to the final collated results, Tsar polled a total of 28,549 votes across Vandeikya and Konshisha local government areas to emerge victorious.

His closest challenger, Hon. Terkuma Bernard C., scored 693 votes, while Hon. Aondona Francis K. secured 79 votes.

Other aspirants recorded the following votes:

• Hon. Lycian Abo Tyoor — 95 votes
• Hon./Mrs. Mueser Tyover Gberga — 98 votes
• Hon. Austin M. Kumafan — 113 votes
• Hon. Vitalis Longsman — 168 votes
• Hon. Akume Philemon O. — 74 votes
• Hon. Ahungwa Patrick/Tivice — 13 votes
• Hon. Vincent Terseer Iorhune — 225 votes
• Hon./Mrs. Doris Erdoo Iyo — 187 votes
• Hon. Nanyuur Fidelis Gbeito — 9 votes

The total number of registered voters stood at 44,615, while a total of 30,365 votes were cast during the primary election.

The result sheet was signed by the Local Government Collation Officer, Hon. Tongugh Sylvester T., alongside party agents and officials of the APC Primary Election Committee.
