Three killed as bandits invade Pissa Village in Niger State

The Niger State Police Command has confirmed the killing of three persons following a bandit attack on Pissa village in Borgu Local Government Area of the state.

The Command’s spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this on Saturday, said the attackers stormed the village at about 9:00 a.m.

According to him, the assailants also set several houses ablaze during the attack.

Abiodun added that troops of the military later responded and engaged the attackers, although details of the encounter remain unclear.

“The report received indicated that suspected bandits invaded Pissa village in Borgu LGA. Three persons were reportedly killed during the attack and some houses were set ablaze,” he said.

“However, the military responded and engaged the terrorists, but further details are still sketchy,” he added.
