Gov Ortom pays surprise visit to BENSESA, praises GM for an excellent performance

The Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Samuel Ortom, today, Thursday, 7th November, 2019 paid an unscheduled visit to the Benue State Environmental Sanitation Authority, BENSESA as part of his on the spot assessment tour of ministries and agencies to see things for himself.

Receiving the August visitor, the workaholic General Manager of the agency, Hon Solomon Onah thanked Gov Ortom for finding time to visit the agency despite his tight schedules, saying the visit would be a catalyst for better performance by the agency.

While conducting the governor round to inspect the refurbished vehicles, Hon Onah thanked Gov Ortom for the prompt release of the fund that was judiciously used for the repair of the grounded heavy duty vehicles needed for better and effective waste management and sanitation exercise, saying with the help of the released fund, the Authority was able to repair fourteen(14) vehicles, including three(3) tractors which have made the rare success by the agency possible.He also thanked the Deputy Governor of Benue State, Engr Benson Abounu for his regular visit to the agency and strict supervision, leading to the quick repair of the substantial number of the grounded vehicles.

Addressing the press after the inspection of the vehicles, Gov Samuel Ortom showered encomium on the GM of the agency, Hon Solomon Onah for his sterling performance since taking over the mantle of leadership of the agency, saying he would support the agency in making sure the success of the sanitation exercise in Makurdi metropolis was extended to Otukpo,Gboko and Katsina-ala. Gov Ortom also thanked the Transport Officer(TO) of the agency, Engr Kwaghber Agugu for his great effort in assisting the GM for effective coordination of workers of the agency,leading to the successful conduct of daily waste management,daily and monthly sanitation exercise in Makurdi metropolis by the agency so far.

Gov Ortom was accompanied on the visit by the Commissioner for Water Resources and Environment, Engr Dondo Ahire, Commissioner for Works, Engr Alexander Shaapera, his Principal Special Assistant on administration, Abraham Kwaghngu, his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase and other top government functionaries.
