Squid Game actor, O Yeong-Su breaks Golden Globe awards’ record at 77 (Winners’ List)
O Yeong-su, player 001 in Squid Game series, has bagged his first Golden Globe award as Best Supporting Actor for his role in the popular Netflix drama.
O Yeong-su, a 77-year-old actor, also emerged as the first Korean to win a Golden Globe award. In Squid Game, he stared as Oh II-nam, was also referred to as Player 001, who was revealed as the host of the game towards the end of the series.
He emerged victorious at the 2022 Golden Globe that took place in a private ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California, on Monday, January 10.
O Yeong-su appeared in over 200 theatre production when he started his acting career on stage in 1967 before moving to film and television.
