PDP’s meeting to pick Otukpo council chairmanship consensus candidate ends in deadlock

A meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Entekpa, a suburb of Adoka District to pick a consensus candidate ahead of the forthcoming local government election has once again ended in deadlock.

The meeting which was held on Sunday 20th February, 2022 and presided over by Paul Harris Ogbole, SAN, at Umogidi the ward headquarter ended in futility after PDP executives from the area were denied the right to vote as the Presiding SAN opted for option A4 method of voting.

The scene became rowdy as the ward chairman, Hon. Francis Ebenya and aspirants like Hon. Inalegwu Abraham and Hon. John Paul Uttuh failed to adopt the proposed option A4.

The contenders from Entekpa were the position was zoned to are still Hon. Abraham Inalegwu Adakonye, Hon. Bako Ejeh, Hon. John Paul Uttuh and Hon. Agbo King Ebonyi.
