Bayern Munich agree deal with Liverpool to sign Mane
Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Liverpool for Senegalese forward, Sadio Mane.
The 30-year-old striker desire to seek a new challenge came to the fore after the Champions League final, with the Bundesliga champions swiftly named as his destination of choice.
Bayern had seen two bids ‘laughable deals’ rejected for the Senegal international, having initially started their offer at £25million and then increased it to £30million.
According to ‘THE TIMES’, the deal is worth £27.5 million, with add-ons taking the total package to £35.5 million.
The bonuses include £5 million based on appearances and £2.6 million on individual and team achievements, which is certainly not to be the three successive Ballon d’Or awards they previously tabled.
Mane scored 120 goals in 269 games for Liverpool, while winning every major honour available.
After joining from Southampton in 2016, the forward got his hands on a first piece of silverware when Klopp’s men prevailed in the Champions League final three years later.
He then played a key part in their Premier League title triumph the following year, before adding the FA Cup and League Cup to his collection last season.
