President Buhari departs Nigeria for Morocco
President Mohamadu Buhari will on Sunday June 10th, 2018 fly to Morocco following an invitation by the His Royal Majesty, king Mohammed VI
The presidency made this known in a series of tweet via it’s official twitter handle Saturday June 9th.
“President @MBuhari will on Sunday, June 10, embark on a two-day working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco. #PMBinMorocco.
“The visit, which is at the invitation of His Royal Majesty, King Mohammed VI, will see the two leaders discuss socio-economic matters affecting their countries, following prior engagements in December 2016, during the official visit of His Majesty to Nigeria.
“Discussions will focus on strengthening existing agreements on the fertilizer industry, education co-op, Nig-Morocco Gas Pipeline project & establishing a basic chemical platform to harness Nigeria’s vast natural gas resources & support Morocco’s diammonium phosphate industry.
“Following signing of a collaboration agreement b/w Nigeria & Morocco in Dec 2016 to revive abandoned Nigerian fertilizer blending plants,14 plants have been revitalized so far under the Presidential Fertilizer Initiative(PFI); with a total capacity of 2.3m MT of NPK fertilizer
“The President will be accompanied on the trip by Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State and other senior government officials. #PMBinMorocco ?? ??” the presidency added
