Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reiterated his earlier comment that buildings without proper approval within the nation’s capital would be pulled down.

Wike made this known when he visited the scene of a collapsed building in Garki II Abuja on Thursday.

IDOMA VOICE reports that a two-storey building housing many business centres went down around 10 p.m. on Wednesday during a torrental rainfall accompained with wind.

Addressing journalists at the incident scene on Thursday morning, Wike said, “This is what we are saying: any building without approval will go down.

“We don’t hate anybody. All we are saying is the proper thing should be done,” he said.

IDOMA VOICE reports that at least two people were trapped to death while about 38 others were badly injured in the incident.

The FCT Minister said those injured would be treated free of charge.
