Suspected bandits have murdered a motorcyclist in Kwoi, Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State, after collecting a ransom of N30,000.
The kidnappers had abducted the deceased and demanded a ransom of N30,000, Daily Post reports.

A source informed the publication that the deceased friend contributed the money, thinking he would be released after the payment.

“He was kidnapped on 13/01/2022 in Kwoi. His friends were forced to contribute the ransom to secure his release but the bandits still refused to release him after receiving the money. They later killed him,” source said.

Mr. Yunusa Idris, the district head of the community, confirmed the incident.

He said: “As soon as the friends contributed the money for his release, everybody in the community was expecting him, but his corpse was discovered.

“The N30,000 ransom they demanded was paid by his friends but was not released because they (bandits) demanded more money which, was not paid.”

The State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige did not pick his call when contacted.
