The race for the 2027 presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, gathered momentum on Tuesday as the party commenced the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms in Abuja.

Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, James Faleke, picked up the forms on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, signalling the start of the president’s re-election bid.

The forms, reportedly valued at ₦100 million, were presented to Faleke by the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, alongside other members of the party’s National Working Committee.

The exercise, held at designated venues in Abuja, marks the formal commencement of the APC’s internal electoral process ahead of its primaries scheduled for May 23.

Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency and is also the founder of the Tinubu Support Group, was accompanied by senior party officials during the collection of the forms.

The commencement of the form sale signals the APC’s transition into full pre-election activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
