Tinubu makes four new appointments

President Bola Tinubu has given his consent to the appointment of three new Executive Commissioners for the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and the reassignment of one existing Executive Commissioner, pending confirmation by the Nigerian Senate:

Mr. Bashir Indabawa – NW – Appointed as Executive Commissioner for Exploration & Acreage Management.

Dr. Kelechi Ofoegbu – SE – Reassigned as Executive Commissioner for Corporate Services & Administration.

Mr. Enorense Amadasu – SS – Appointed as Executive Commissioner for Development & Production.

Mr. Babajide Fasina – SW – Appointed as Executive Commissioner for Economic Regulation & Strategic Planning.
This reshuffling and appointment is the result of a thorough evaluation by the President, taking into account all relevant factors within the sector. The aim is to establish a regulatory framework and foster a culture that discourages misconduct while promoting diligence and adherence to rules-based business practices throughout the industry.
