EPL: Iheanacho moves to end five months goal drought

Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, will be aiming to end his five months goal drought in the Premier League when Leicester City hosts Southampton in Saturday’s clash at the King Power Stadium.

The Nigeria international has made eight EPL appearances so far this term (two starts and six as a substitute) last scored for the Foxes in their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on August 4, 2020.

Despite failing to score in the EPL in his last 12 league games, the Nigerian has been impressive in other competitions scoring a total of seven goals in 20 games.

Since he joined Leicester City at the start of the 2017/2018, he has failed to equal his best tally of eight while he was at Manchester City.

His compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi is expected to make his ninth appearance for the club in the encounter.

He was again the best tackler for the third straight season in the EPL with 139 successful tackles.

At Craven Cottage, Ola Aina and his Fulham teammates will be eager to pile more misery on Chelsea when they clash on Saturday (today)

Blues are targeting a sixth successive league victory against the Cottagers for the first time in nearly 61 years.
