1. The APC 2023 Senatorial Candidate for Benue South, Comrade Daniel Onjeh, has presented a chain of demands for the development of his senatorial district to the presumed next federal administration.

In an open letter to the supposed next President and Commander-in-Chief dated 31st October, 2022, Com. Onjeh re-affirmed his earlier viewpoint that the challenge of Benue South was neither religion nor ethnicity, but underdevelopment.

2. Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the leader of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Benue State and Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume, has inaugurated the party campaign council in Makurdi.

Speaking during the Alia/ Ode Governorship campaign Council Inauguration meeting/retreat 2022, which was held at Royal Choice Hotel, on Saturday, Sen. Akume urged members of the campaign council to work very hard and ensure victory for the party.

3.The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, yesterday, promised voters in Benue State that his government, if elected president next year, would return peace and security to the state and restore its status as the food basket of the nation.

Obi, who was joined by his wife, and his running mate, Datti Ahmed-Baba, said the Nigerian economy collapsed, because “we have people in government who don’t know anything about government and they are just wasting people’s time.”

4. At least five people have been killed by gunmen suspected to be remnants of the slain Benue warlord, Terwase Akwaza aka Gana at Pevya town in the Katsina-Ala area of Benue State.

According to a source, the gunmen had trailed a man identified as Oliver who was a member of vigilante community guards to the joint where they shot and killed him along with four others, while several others were injured.

5. Jonathan Tunde Ogbeha, former administrator of Akwa Ibom State and Bendel State during the military rule of General Ibrahim Babangida, on Friday visited the family of his friend, David Mark, over the death of his son, Tunde.

Ogbeha, who stormed the family house of Mark in Otukpo on Saturday, described the death of his namesake as a huge loss.
