Today, Monday, July 4, 2022 on update on Bola Tinubu, IDOMA VOICE looks at the latest activities, news on the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

1. National Coalition for Democracy, Peace and Unity (NCDPU), following its summit in Kaduna, has rejected the idea of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, picking a Muslim as running mate.
It warned that APC would lose the votes of Northern Christians if the flag bearer picks a Muslim.

2. The Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON) and founding member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Osita Okechukwu, has predicted that the party’s presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at next year’s general election will win by 60 per cent.

Hear the APC leader: “Asiwaju has 60 percent of winning this election. We are in charge of 22 states of the federation. We have the majority in the National and State Houses of Assembly – they are not going to betray him.

3. The South-East zone of the All Progressives Congress has set its sight on the positions of Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation if the presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, wins the 2023 general elections.
The development was disclosed by a top party chieftain in the South-East, who craved anonymity.

4. The Afenifere Renewal Group has tasked the politicians of South-West extraction on the imperative of unity and the need to coalesce efforts with the remaining five geo-political zones to actualise the presidential bid of former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in the 2023 general election.

The ARG Publicity Secretary, Prince Michael Ogungbemi, lauded the President, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.); the All Progressives Congress Northern Governors’ Forum; the APC presidential aspirants who withdrew for Tinubu, and party members for making his emergence as candidate possible, saying, “It is now time for the South-West to display uncommon unity to complement the patriotic and progressive efforts of the APC members.”

5. Strong indications emerged, weekend, that governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, are insisting on a sitting colleague to be picked as vice presidential candidate to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2023 election, following the role they played in his emergence as the flagbearer.

6. A pan-Yoruba group from the Ondo-Ekiti axis, Sunshine Liberation Movement (SLM), has hailed the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda for Nigerians.
A statement by its National coordinator, Elder Dipo Ajidahun, said the movement identified with the welfarist agenda proposed for Nigerians by the APC presidential flagbearer.

7. Support groups of the APC under the aegis of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Organisation have said they are set to receive the party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 polls, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Kano on July 30, 2022.

The state Coordinator, who is the Managing Director of the Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) and the state Consumer Protection Agency, Baffa Babba Danagundi, said the organisation was a voluntary movement for the actualisation of set goals ahead of the 2023 general elections.
