A prominent supporter of Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, Joseph Oche Udeh, popularly known as Big Smart, has called on the governor to resign if he is unable to halt the wave of killings across the state.

Udeh made the remark while reacting to the latest attack on Efeyi Ugboju community in Otukpo Local Government Area, where several residents were reportedly killed by suspected armed attackers.

The outspoken supporter, who has consistently defended Governor Alia’s administration, said the continuous loss of lives has become unbearable, urging the governor to seek help or step aside if he cannot end the bloodshed.

In a post on his Facebook page on Wednesday, Udeh wrote:

“With all these constant killings, if FADA won’t cry for help for our people, he should resign! Who would use the infrastructure after we all die?”

His comments come amid growing public outrage over the recurring attacks in parts of Benue State, particularly in Benue South, where communities in Otukpo, Apa, Ohimini and surrounding areas have witnessed repeated assaults in recent weeks.
