Gabri Veiga, the talented midfielder from Celta Vigo, is set to decline interest from prominent European clubs such as Liverpool, Chelsea, and Napoli, favoring a transition to the Saudi Pro League.

Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the 21-year-old has reached an agreement to join Al-Ahli, and an official announcement is anticipated in the near future.

Following an exceptional performance during the 2022–23 season, where he delivered 11 goals and four assists in 36 appearances within La Liga, the young attacking midfielder has established himself as one of Europe’s most captivating prospects.

Veiga will be joining a roster that boasts Edouard Mendy, Merih Demiral, Roger Ibanez, Franck Kessie, Allan Saint-Maximin, Riyad Mahrez, and Roberto Firmino.

Meanwhile, Toni Kroos, the German and Real Madrid midfielder, has voiced criticism concerning Veiga’s potential move to the Middle East.

In response to Fabrizio Romano’s Instagram post regarding the player’s transfer, the 33-year-old expressed his view, describing the decision as “embarrassing.”

Presently, Al Ahli occupies the second position on the Saudi Pro League table, having secured two victories out of two matches and netting a total of six goals.
