There is palpable fear among stakeholders and movie buffs following the report of the death of Nollywood legendary actor, Zack Orji.

However, it has been later confirmed that the actor is not dead, contrary to the viral reports circulating on social media.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Zack Orji is currently bedridden after collapsing in his bathroom sometime in January.

Sources reveal that he was moved out of the National Hospital Abuja due to his unresponsiveness to treatment.

Although the soft-spoken thespian is battling for his life, he remains alive.

Nevertheless, this development has sparked concern and fear among practitioners and lovers of the Nigerian motion picture industry, globally known as Nollywood, regarding the health of actors.

Just this year alone, the industry has mourned the loss of some of its finest actors, including Ethel Ekpe, Sisi Quadri, Mr Ibu, and lately, Amaechi Muonagor.

Nigerians, particularly movie lovers, are troubled by the reports of deaths within the movie industry.

A movie critic and screenwriter, Ajunwa John, emphasized the need for actors to take their health seriously and be mindful of their diet.

A popular movie producer, Justine Job, attributed the recent cases of death in Nollywood to lifestyle choices. He warned that actors should prioritize their health and get adequate rest.

In her contribution, Faith Ronald, an actress, suggested that the AGN (Actors Guild of Nigeria) should establish a trust fund to support veterans, especially ailing colleagues.

She expressed concern over the situation where actors fall ill and resort to soliciting donations on social media, considering it a matter of dignity for the industry.
