Tinubu departs Abuja for Ibadan to attend Olubadan coronation
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday departed Abuja for Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to participate in the coronation ceremony of the newly installed Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Ladoja.
The Presidential jet left the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 12:45 p.m., conveying Tinubu and members of his entourage to the Southwest.
In Ibadan, the President is expected to join top dignitaries, traditional rulers, and political leaders at the historic Mapo Hall, where the final installation rites of the 44th Olubadan will be performed.
Senator Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State, ascended the throne following the passing of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin on July 7, 2025.
