POLAC invites 13th regular course applicants for september screening

The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has invited applicants for its 13th Regular Course to attend a screening exercise beginning September 9, 2026.

The academy made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday by its Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Umar Isah, on behalf of the Commandant, AIG Auwal Muhammad.

According to the statement, applicants are required to print their examination slips between August 25 and September 8 ahead of the exercise.

The screening will include a Computer-Based Test (CBT), physical features assessment, medical examination and other required checks.

POLAC said the CBT would be conducted in batches based on candidates’ states of origin.

The first batch, scheduled for September 9, comprises candidates from Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra and Bauchi states.

Candidates from Bauchi (Batch B), Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River and Delta states will participate in the second batch on September 10.

The third batch is scheduled for September 11 and will cover candidates from Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, the Federal Capital Territory, Gombe and Imo.

On September 12, candidates from Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano and Katsina will take the CBT, while those from Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos and Nasarawa are scheduled for September 13.

The sixth batch, comprising candidates from Niger, Ogun, Ondo and Osun, will take the examination on September 14. Candidates from Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto and Taraba will sit for the CBT on September 15.

The final batch, involving candidates from Yobe and Zamfara, is scheduled for September 16.

POLAC said applicants must come with the original and photocopies of their required documents, including Primary School Leaving Certificate, SSCE result, JAMB result slip, birth certificate or declaration of age, LGA indigene certificate and letter of identification.

Other required documents are a duly completed and signed guarantor’s form, medical certificate of fitness from a government hospital, NIN slip, four passport photographs and the application acknowledgement slip.

Applicants were instructed to wear a white T-shirt, white shorts, white socks and white canvas shoes throughout the screening.

The academy advised candidates to arrive at the institution one day before their scheduled examination dates and said accommodation would be provided throughout the screening period.

Parents and guardians, however, will not be permitted to enter the academy during the exercise.

POLAC urged applicants to obtain further information through its official admission portal and warned candidates against fraudulent social media accounts impersonating the academy.
