Idoma-born businessman and entrepreneur, Amb. Lawrence Oloche, is set to officially launch ProTaxi, a homegrown e-hailing platform, on October 1, 2026, as part of efforts to provide affordable and technology-driven transportation services in Nigeria.

ProTaxi, developed by PromiseLand Innovations Limited, is designed to connect riders and drivers through a digital platform aimed at making everyday transportation easier, safer and more affordable.

The initiative marks an expansion of the PromiseLand brand beyond real estate into technology-driven transportation solutions.

Oloche, who also leads PromiseLand Estate, is driving an ambitious initiative to develop 100,000 housing units across Nigeria, beginning with the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

Through ProTaxi, the entrepreneur is extending the company’s operations into Nigeria’s growing mobility and technology sector.

Developed specifically for the Nigerian market, the platform is positioning itself as an indigenous alternative in an e-hailing industry traditionally dominated by multinational companies.

ProTaxi places emphasis on affordability, reliability, accessibility and sustainability, while incorporating digital ride booking, driver connectivity, trip information and live-location sharing.

The platform is also promoting the adoption of electric vehicles as part of a long-term strategy to reduce transportation operating costs and encourage cleaner urban mobility.

According to the company, increased adoption of electric vehicles and other cost-efficient transportation models could help reduce costs for drivers and ultimately translate into competitive fares for passengers.

The launch comes amid changing economic conditions in Nigeria, which have significantly affected transportation costs and created opportunities for indigenous businesses to develop mobility solutions tailored to local realities.

For PromiseLand, ProTaxi represents an attempt to use homegrown technology to address challenges in two critical areas of everyday life — housing and transportation.

While PromiseLand Estate focuses on expanding access to housing and property investment, ProTaxi is expected to provide Nigerians with another option for convenient and accessible movement within cities.

According to the CEO Amb. Lawrence Oloche the platform will be available to all Nigerians from 1st October 2026

The October 1 launch will formally introduce the platform to the Nigerian market as the company seeks to establish itself among a new generation of indigenous technology businesses developing solutions for local challenges.
