‘59 years, still grateful’ — Adeboye celebrates wedding anniversary

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has marked his 59th wedding anniversary with his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye.

Adeboye shared the anniversary message on his X account on Tuesday. He thanked God for sustaining their marriage over the years.

The cleric reflected on their journey together. He described it as one filled with “seasons of joy, challenges, growth, answered prayers and countless reasons to give God thanks.”

Adeboye said marriage goes beyond beautiful moments. He stressed the need for couples to choose each other daily and allow room for growth.

He also highlighted patience, forgiveness, prayer and trust in God as important parts of marriage.

“Above all, we are grateful that God has been at the centre of our home. Every step of the way, He has remained faithful,” Adeboye said.

He also thanked those who had loved, prayed for and supported him, his wife and their family over the years.

“As we celebrate 59 years together, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving to God and appreciation for everyone who has loved, prayed for and supported us and our family over the years.

“We are grateful for the journey so far, and we look forward to all that God still has in store.

“To God be all the glory,” he said.

Adeboye and his wife signed off the message with a note of gratitude.
