Reactions as work resumes on Otukpo township road

IDOMA VOICE has obtained a letter from the federal government through the office of the Ministry of Work and Housing warning Ochacho Foundation to stop work on the dualization of Otukpo township road.
Ochacho Foundation had embarked on the project which had been abandoned by the federal government for years.
 The project was funded by Mohammed Odeh Adah, also known as Ochacho, who is the chairman of the foundation.
 In a letter dated December 13, 2021 and addressed to Ochacho, the ministry tagged the project as illegal.
The letter claimed the work has since distorted the masterplan for the road.
The letter reads below.
CEO/Managing Director Ochacho Foundation,
Otukpo Town, Benue State.
UNLAWFUL ACT BEING PERPETRATED BY A NON- GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION – “OCHACHO FOUNDATION”FOUND TO BE WORKING ON THE SUBSISTING CONTRACT ON THE DUALISATION OF OTUKPO TOWNSHIP ROAD, IN  BENUE STATE AWARDED TO MESSRS ROCKBRIDGE NIGERIA LIMITED, CONTRACT NO. 6259 Your attention is hereby drawn to the above subject matter in which my Resident Engineer drew my attention to this unethical act by your Foundation on 31′ October 2021, I quickly called your Site Engineer Levi on the phone number I collected from my Resident Engineer to stop you from further work with immediate effect.
2. ‘discussed fully on the matter to your Site Engineer Levi as a professional Engineer to intimate your Foundation that you cannot start working on a project ,itsimtetehd without already been awarded to a Contractor Messrs, Rockbridge Nigeria  full authorization or approval letter by the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing. 3. My Resident Engineer further held a meeting with you on same to being atop You on this illegality g perpetrated by your Foundation which yielded no positive results.
4. Your illegal actions on project site as at now has caused a serious distortion on the Master Plan for the Dualization of Otukpo Township.
