“Start the process already” – Aisha Yesufu calls for Tinubu’s impeachment
Activist Aisha Yesufu has called for the impeachment of President Bola Tinubu, saying the process should have started a long time ago.
Yesufu made the comment in a statement shared on her verified X account on Tuesday while reacting to the National Assembly’s concerns over delays in implementing the national budget.
Her remarks followed comments by Borno North Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno, who on Monday described the failure to execute the capital budget as an “impeachable offence”.
Responding to the development, the co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls Movement said, “Start the process already.
“President Tinubu should have been impeached years ago.”
Yesufu had previously criticised members of the Senate, accusing them of enabling what she described as the “evil” being carried out by the Tinubu administration.
