Benue 2023: Uba interfaces with in-laws, gets royal blessings

Benue State PDP governorship candidate for the 2023 general elections and Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt Hon Titus Uba today 3rd October,2022 held an interface with the people of Mbayion, his inlaws to seek their support and blessings.

Uba who intimated his inlaws about his governorship ambition said, it was incumbent on him to seek collaboration with them to enable him win the guber race.

He charged them to mobilize support for him and other candidates on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

In their remarks, the Executive Chairman, Gboko Local Government Council, Hon. Isaac Mtom and Gboko East House of Assembly hopeful, Sesugh Kaaba lauded the guber candidate for identifying with his inlaws and enjoined the people of Gboko to take Uba’s governorship project very serious bearing in mind that if voted as governor, Gboko would have the benefit of producing the State first lady.

They assured Uba of the support and solidarity of Gboko people across political divides to ensure that he wins the governorship election.

Also speaking, the Gboko PDP chairman, Hon Gbangson Adekwagh and Senior Special Assistant to the governor on youth Affairs, Sunny Nyior all pledged to work for Hon. Uba who they said was their inlaw in Gboko.

Other Speakers including Executive Secretary Benue State Examination Board, Isaac Hon who spoke for government appointees and Hon. Isaac Angbande all assured Uba of their support as an inlaw stressing that his visit has further given them the impetus to galvanize support for him.

Many others who spoke including the wife of the commissioner for health, Mrs Ann Ngbea, elders peter Jootar, Felegh Tese and Mrs Nguemo Akumba who spoke on behalf of women all commended the PDP guber candidate and assured him of their unflinching support.

Earlier, traditional rulers of Mbayion extraction under the leadership of mue Ter Gboko, Chief Ikpa Ahua gave Engr. Uba and his Wife, Mrs Paulina Uba their blessings and wished them well in their political journey.

Engr. Uba was accompanied to the event by his wife, Mrs Paulina Uba, Members of the State Assembly and their spouses, Special Advisor to the Governor on MDG’s, Prof. Magdalene Dura, Chief Clifford Atile, Engr. Tachia Jooji, Members of his campaign steering committee and many others.
