The Benue State government Urban Development Board is set to pull down the GSS Model Mosque located in Makurdi, the state capital.

According to a notice signed by agency’s Chief Town Planning Officer and sighted by IDOMA VOICE, the structure was built illegally.

It said the owner could not provide a proof, that shows the approval of the building.

They also made it known that those who built the structure did not listen to the order of demolishing it by their self even after 21 days of notice.

The noticed sighted by IDOMA VOICE reads, “You are informed that since you have failed to submit proof of approved building, Plans/Planning Permission for the development, and have also failed to demolish the said structure within the stipulated period of 21 days, the Benue State Urban Board has no option but demolish the structure.

“The demolition exercise will take place any time from the date of this notice, and it will be at your own cost.”
