Tragedy unfolded in the Ubulu-Uku community, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, as a confrontation between a vigilante member named Sule Ukah and a group of suspected herdsmen resulted in three casualties.

According to information gathered by PUNCH Metro, the incident occurred when the assailants ambushed the bush along the Ubulu-Uku-Issele-Uku Road, leading to the fatal shooting of the vigilante member. The violence escalated into an exchange of gunfire between the community’s vigilante members and the unidentified attackers.

In addition to the vigilante member, who was fatally shot, a commercial motorcycle operator, and a woman were also wounded during the confrontation. The incident raised concerns about security within the area, prompting a response from law enforcement authorities.
