The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has raised the alarm over the alleged plan by loyalists of Terwase Akwaza, otherwise known as Gana, to attack security operatives in Benue State.

Gana was killed by military men on Tuesday.

However, the Benue State Command of the NSCDC asked the general public to be at alert as intelligence gatherings have shown that the deceased loyalists were planning to go on a killing spree in Benue State to avenge the killing of their kingpin.

A statement by DC Joe Idang, Deputy Commandant of Corps Intelligence/Investigation Department obtained by IDOMA VOICE reads.

“Following the killing of a suspected notorious criminal, Terwase Agwaza (Gana) on the 8th September, 2020, at about 1600hrs by the military operatives, intelligence reveals that, his loyalists and allies have concluded arrangements to launch attack(s) on the military operatives and other security agencies across Benue State any moment from now.

“In view of the above growing tension of possible attack(s), is imperative that security personnel be advised to take precautionary measures to nib the said attack(s) in the bud. Also, while sustaining surveillance and intelligence gathering, armed security patrol be stepped up with a view to averting the impending danger.”
