Obi vs Tinubu: Nigerians drag Mary Odili online over viral video [WATCH]

Mary Ukaego Odili, a retired Nigerian judge and the wife of former Rivers State Governor Peter Odili, has become a hot topic on the microblogging site, X (formerly known as Twitter).

Her recent trending status is attributed to a video where she made remarks at an event, particularly singling out Olanipekun SAN, who is associated with Tinubu, and Lateef Fagbemi, the APC lawyer and Tinubu’s Attorney General, whom she praised as excellent lawyers.

She went so far as to describe them as “the next best thing since sliced bread.”

During her speech, she also cautioned the parties involved not to bring the roof down on Nigeria if the case does not go their way.

However, her comments did not sit well with many Nigerians, who have now taken to social media to criticize her.

IDOMA VOICE recalls that hat Mary Peter-Odili had recently faced accusations of meeting with judges handling cases at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) in an alleged attempt to influence them in favor of President Bola Tinubu.

These allegations were made by online publisher Jackson Ude, who claimed that Justice Peter-Odili was “negotiating a pathway for President Bola Tinubu” and regularly meeting with judges from the Appeal and Supreme Courts for this purpose.

In response to these allegations, Justice Peter-Odili vehemently denied them, characterizing them as false, malicious, mischievous, and a deliberate attempt to tarnish her integrity and well-established reputation.
