Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has cautioned Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, urging him to exercise careful consideration in selecting an anointed candidate for the upcoming election. Primate Ayodele has foreseen disappointment and potential rejection tied to Obaseki’s current choice.

According to a statement from his spokesman, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate Ayodele advised against engaging in political battles to secure the candidacy for his chosen individual, warning that such conflicts could result in failure for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election.

The spiritual leader stated, “Obaseki’s anointed candidate will disappoint him. Fights cannot make PDP win the election, and Obaseki’s tussle will make the party fail.”

Primate Ayodele emphasized the need for Governor Obaseki to rethink his strategy, recommending thorough consultation before finalizing his selection. He warned that the governor’s chosen candidate may face challenges in winning the election, though the governor might not perceive it at present.

“He should consult properly before he concludes on the choice of an anointed candidate for the election. Obaseki needs to re-package and re-strategize his political techniques. His anointed candidate will find it difficult to win the election, but he doesn’t see it now. His candidate may be knocked out of the way,” Primate Ayodele advised.

Primate Ayodele also predicted the potential influence of external forces aiming to seize control of Edo State from the PDP. He emphasized the importance of avoiding vulnerabilities in the party’s strategy to prevent losing ground in the upcoming election.
