This is just the beginning – Peter Obi says he will contest again in 2027

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has suggested that he may run for the presidency in the 2027 elections. This revelation came during a world press conference in Abuja, where Obi praised Nigerian youths for their steadfast support during the 2023 presidential election.

During the press conference, Obi didn’t hold back in criticizing the Supreme Court’s decision to affirm President Bola Tinubu’s election victory. He expressed deep concern, suggesting that the court’s judgment had severely undermined the faith Nigerians had in the country’s judicial system.

Obi expressed his disappointment and conveyed that this judgment marked the conclusion of his pursuit of justice regarding the conduct of the 2023 presidential election.

He stated, “The incredible energy and determination demonstrated by Nigerian youths have been nothing short of astounding. I want to reassure them that this is not the end of our journey, but rather the commencement of a new chapter. We will persist and endure until we reach our ultimate goal, which is a unified Nigeria.”
