Popular Nollywood actors have openly drummed support for the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in the 2023 presidential elections.
In a now-viral one minute-thirteen seconds video clip seen by The Nation, the League of Actors comprising Fausat Balogun, Yinka Quadri, Jide Kosoko, Taiwo Hassan, Faithia Williams, Femi Adebayo, Shola Kosoko, Saheed Balogun, among others were seen campaigning for Tinubu.

2. Nigerians were on Wednesday divided on social media following the open endorsement of All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, by the Yoruba Nollywood actors.

While some backed the choice of the actors, others claimed that the same set of thespians was among those who allegedly foist the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and attendant maladministration on Nigeria in 2015 and 2019.

6. A political pressure group, Democratic Young Patriots (DYP) has canvassed for a “Tinubu-Marwa ticket as a liberal, strategic and Pan-Nigerian” option for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) that can appeal to the majority of Nigerians, including dousing religious concerns.
The group, in a release issued Wednesday in Abuja by its Coordinator, Bukola Ayelabola, described former military administrator of Lagos state, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (rtd) as the best option from the North for the APC’s Vice Presidential Candidate slot.
7. The APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has urged the newly appointed acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola, to bring onto the apex judicial position, the competence and integrity that hallmarked his career.
Mr Tinubu gave the advice in a congratulatory message by his spokesperson, Tunde Rahman, on Tuesday in Abuja.
