1. Standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in next year’s presidential election Asiwaju Bola Ahmed will tomorrow present Senator Kashim Sheitima as his running mate to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling party.

A statement by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Suliaman Muhammadu Arugungu, confirmed that the unveiling of Shettima will hold at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja by 11am prompt.

2. The Nigerian Youth Coalition For Tinubu (NYCT) has declared that the outcome of the Osun State governorship election will not deter Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu from becoming Nigeria’s president in 2023.

The group’s Convener,National Chairman, Habib Olalekan Hammed who said this on Sunday in Ibadan added that rather it would trigger an improved high level preparedness in terms of strategies and putting in place necessary machinery to ensure victory.

3. The Mayor of Urhoboland, His Excellency Eshanekpe Israel, a.k.a Akpodoro has described the consultative moves by the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, as following in the footsteps of the President Muhammadu Buhari by his alleged alienation of the Niger Delta ex-agitators in his consultations, noting that the “blind followership” accorded the incumbent during his consultation days would not be repeated in the 2023 general election.

4. The North Central Coordinator, Tinubu Support Organisation, Mallam Yinka Oniyangi, has said that the weekend defeat of Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, by the candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke, in the Osun state governorship election will not affect the chances of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress in the 2023 election.

Hosting members of the Tinubu support group and APC stakeholders in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Sunday, the North Central Coordinator of TSO, Oniyangi, said that the defeat of the APC candidate in the Osun governorship election will not affect Tinubu’s emergence as the winner of next year presidential election.

5. Former Representative of Rivers South-East senatorial District at the National Assembly, Magnus Ngei Abe, has said the APC presidential candidate, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu has a track record of competence to rule Nigeria come 2023.

Spokesperson to Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, Parry Saroh Benson, in a press statement on Monday in Port Harcourt Saturday said Abe also gave reasons why he would stand by Tinubu to pick former Borno state governor, Ibrahim Shettima, as his runningmate despite the fact that both of them belong to the same religion.

6. The apex body of the Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has denied endorsing the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for the 2023 Presidency.

The group stated that a recent statement it made urging South-East politicians to emulate Tinubu was mistaken for an endorsement of the former governor of Lagos.

7. The African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, said on Monday the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was unfit for the presidency in 2023.

The Sahara Reporters publisher, who stated this on his Twitter handle, described the former Lagos State governor as a bad product.

8. Anthony Cardinal Olubunmi Okogie, former Archbishop of the Catholic Church, a lifelong critic of bad governance now aged 86, has reminded Bola Tinubu that sentiments about ethnicity and religion are key factors in Nigerian politics.

And he urged the electorate to vote for political parties and their candidates in the 2023 general elections based on these sentiments.

9. Reno Omokri, a former special assistant to Nigeria’s former President, Goodluck Jonathan, has said the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is no threat to his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, in the 2023 election.

Omokri said the only threat to PDP’s victory in 2023 is Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, and not Tinubu.
