1. Abdullahi Ganduje, Kano governor, says Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, has agreed to pick a Muslim as running mate.

Ganduje said this on Friday during a prayer session with clerics ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

2. The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has returned back to the country from France.

Tinubu, via his official Twitter handle, Friday evening, shared a tweet, “Heading home,” with link to his Instagram page showing him inside an aircraft.

3. Alhaji Sule Lamido, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, has given reasons Atiku will beat All Progressives Congress, APC, flag bearer, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu in the race to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, next year.

4. The Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Friday, charged Nigerians to rise against perpetrators of terror and destruction whose ultimate aim was to divide the country.

Tinubu, who preaches peace ahead of Sallah celebration, disclosed that true Muslims and believers in Islamic tenets don’t exhibit destructive tendencies.

5. A new study has revealed that the presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has outperformed the two other major presidential candidates – Peter Obi of Labour Party and Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC – on positive ratio metrics in all the mentions from all discussions about the presidential candidates across all media platforms and fora reviewed.

According to the report which adopted Artificial Intelligence tools to analyse 500,000 mentions of the candidates on both traditional and social media within a one-month period, it revealed that although Atiku Abubakar has less mentions on Twitter compared to Peter Obi, he, however, got more positive sentiments from people than the duo of Tinubu and Peter Obi.

6. A Kaduna-based chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Usman Garba, has said that the party’s presidential flag-bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed, may lose the 2023 election if he fails to fly a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Dr Garba, who was an APC senatorial contender for Kaduna Central in the just concluded primary election, argued that Muslims are about 80 per cent of the North’s population and that choosing a Christian candidate as running mate would be a political miscalculation which may rob the party of victory in the region.

7. As 2023 general election permutations becomes intense in Nigeria amongst various political parties, a video has captured customised mobile phone with photos of All Progressives Congress Presidential flagbearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the party’s logo.
